At The Bridal Bar, we love weddings that reflect the unique backgrounds and personalities of our couples. Anita and Alex’s wedding was a beautiful blend of cultural tradition, iconic Vancouver views, and pure joy from start to finish.
A Morning Rooted in Tradition
The day began with a traditional Indian ceremony held at a stunning temple, honouring Anita’s heritage. The temple setting was not only breathtaking but offered a deeply meaningful and authentic cultural experience that set the tone for the day. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a traditional Indian breakfast—flavourful, comforting, and the perfect way to continue the celebration.
Anita looked absolutely radiant in her traditional attire, complete with intricate henna designs and beautifully styled hair and jewellery. The couple even ventured into the nearby forest for portraits in their Indian wear, resulting in photos that were nothing short of magical—lush greenery, rich colours, and genuine love shining through every frame.

A Reception with a View at Science World
Later in the day, the celebration shifted to a completely different vibe—an elegant, Western-style reception at one of Vancouver’s most iconic venues: Science World. While many people don’t realize this venue hosts weddings, it truly is one of the city’s best-kept secrets.
Science World offers something few venues can: flexibility and affordability. Couples can bring their own alcohol and select their own caterer, which is a major budget saver compared to venues that require in-house catering. The space itself is instantly recognizable—found on postcards and forever etched in the Vancouver skyline—and offers a memorable backdrop for any celebration.
Elegant Details & Interactive Fun
The decor was a perfect balance of sophistication and charm. From beautifully curated tablescapes to lush florals and thoughtfully placed details, the atmosphere was romantic yet lively. Every element came together seamlessly to create a reception space filled with elegance and warmth.
Cocktail hour took place inside, where guests had the chance to relive their childhood excitement—this time with an open bar in hand. Science World’s interactive exhibits were a huge hit, offering unique entertainment that went far beyond the typical cocktail hour experience. Guests mingled while exploring light shows and hands-on experiments—no additional entertainment required!
A Sunset First Dance to Remember
Dinner and the reception unfolded on the spectacular Green Roof—a hidden gem that offers panoramic views of the city. As the sun set over Vancouver, Anita and Alex shared their first dance on the terrace, surrounded by loved ones and bathed in golden hour light. It was a brilliant decision to time this moment before the after-party began, ensuring unforgettable photos and a quiet, romantic highlight in the midst of the celebration.
After dinner, the party moved back indoors where guests danced the night away, closing out a day that was as meaningful as it was fun.
